Organizational learning capabilities in nurses

Abstract

 Introduction: nurses can play a major role in the process of organizational learning as one of the major sources of organizational knowledge and important elements of knowledge transfer in hospitals. Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the learning ability in a military hospital (Baqiyatallah). Material & Methods: In this analytical/descriptive study, the research community was 281 nurses working in a sub-specialty hospital in Tehran. Which meets the criteria for entering the study They were entered into the study by census method in 1396. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire is the collection of individual information. The second part is the Questionnaire Gomez(2005) Organizational Learning. And in the present study, its reliability was resumed in a preliminary study. After collecting the information based on the type of variables, descriptive statistics including mean standard deviation and analytical statistics were considered significant level of 0. 05. Using SPSS version 19, and the normalization of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, were analyzed and analyzed. Results: Considering the undeniable role of organizational learning in survival of organizations and the results achieved in this study, organizational learning capability in three areas of management commitment, open space and experimentation, and knowledge transfer was moderate and low. According to the results of this research, it is necessary to pay attention to the transferability and integration of nurse’ s knowledge in order to increase staff’ s organizational knowledge. Conclusion: Nursing managers are also required to explore nursing learning enhancement strategies using new methods and provide knowledge and experience transfer. In the end, they will have desirable and near-world-class services at the bedside.
