Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the MARRIAGE criteria of couples who are in their second MARRIAGE with the MARRIAGE criteria of their first MARRIAGE. The statistic population of the study includes all couples who have intended to marry for the second time in 1934 in Tehran. The sampling method is convenience sampling and the sample included 50 couples who are on the verge of MARRIAGE and have referred to counseling centers in 1394. In this study, 10 main MARRIAGE criteria were evaluated by researcher-made questionnaire. The results showed that there is no difference between physical, educational, economic and family satisfaction criteria of men and women at first MARRIAGE and their second one. Cultural, ethnic, religious, psychological, family circumstances and common-interests criteria of women and men are different in the first and second MARRIAGE. The love criterion is different for women in their first and second MARRIAGE, but no difference was observed for men.
