Abstract

This paper aimed to study the challenges and opportunities of SOCIOLOGY in IRAN. Using documentary and archive method, national bureau reports and related texts reviewed. Analyzing data and texts showed that various ethnicities in IRAN, human ecologies, subcultures, and economic and social systems of IRAN, several universities, educated and many experts in SOCIAL SCIENCES field, public interest to SOCIOLOGY, are the most important opportunities; and science field problems, at whole, human sciences problems, and SOCIAL SCIENCES problems are the most important challenges of SOCIOLOGY in IRAN. Neglecting the role of SOCIOLOGY in society management and planning, extension of credentials, vulgarizes are the most important challenges of SOCIOLOGY in IRAN, factually. This paper, finally, proposed for improving of SOCIOLOGY situation in IRAN.
