Abstract

Experience the world economy in recent decades has shown that countries with greater economic openness and a more developed financial markets have experienced rapid economic growth. without having an efficient financial sector to economic growth cannot be achieved. The effects of trade openness on FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT and a number of other explanatory variables in the 36 -nation OIC during the period 2010-1980 are examined. Using private credit and bank credit index as the dependent variable and fixed effects model is estimated within the pool system. The results show that trade openness plays a crucial role in determining the level of FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT of the private sector.
