Abstract

SOCIAL CAPITAL is a new concept which has been entered the field of political science from social science and has a vast potential and actual research, application, effectiveness and affectability scope in the scene of relationship between society and state. SOCIAL CAPITAL includes social relationships and networks which can create cooperation and TRUST feeling among members of a society. Meanwhile, the role of civil and democratic institutions and government and policy makers in opening such spaces should not be ignored. Hence, SOCIAL CAPITAL is one of the most important indicators of every society’s growth and development and its comparison with other capitals reveals importance of SOCIAL CAPITAL and other capitals’ dimensions and constituents. At the end of this paper relationship of SOCIAL CAPITAL with investment is addressed and it is concluded that SOCIAL CAPITAL promoting policies can have direct effect on society improvement.
