Abstract

The article explores three stages of the acts of Artaxshir the founder. of sassanid dynasty as follows: 1-He is introduced as a powerful king whose inscriptionson the face of pars mountain and besid the burial places of Acchamanids kingsprove that he had I been trying to make his gorvernment the same as the latters by imitatingthem in manyrespects includingcenteralization of power, charisma,army,inherited kingshipextensiveborders etc. 2- He tries - in the light of the past - to show mimself as aclergyman with forseeing power who can solve anyproblem.There are some calenders,Books of ae1vicein general and Tansars letter in particular that gine testimony to this. 3- at last out of extant evidence and accordingto foregiong tansars letter he is wrapped in a legendary veil as well as introduced as a symbolof national will and a leader of wisdom and state craft.
