Abstract

 In today's world, human resource PRODUCTIVITY is the most important factor in developing countries so that the PRODUCTIVITY of human resource organizations in a country is manifested in the growth, prosperity and competitiveness in a global economy. Improving human resource PRODUCTIVITY in any enterprise requires capital investment, or in other words using a variety of methods to increase the PRODUCTIVITY. That is, understanding each type of capital is necessary to improve human resource PRODUCTIVITY. On the other hand, SOCIAL CAPITAL or intangible assets is a new concept that is placed along with other capitals such as physical and human capitals and the researchers have turned their minds to the impact of this kind of investment in various fields, including social, economical, cultural ones so that the contribution of SOCIAL CAPITAL, compared to other capitals, is significant in the development of communities.The aim of the present study is to study the effect of SOCIAL CAPITAL on human resource PRODUCTIVITY in SMALL AND MEDIUM INDUSTRIES of Ardabil. Accordingly, this idea and improving the human resource PRODUCTIVITY has been discussed in the literature. Then, based on the conceptual model, research design, and using the descriptive survey research methodology, data were collection from the research population. Using the descriptive and inferential statistics, the research hypotheses were tested. The results show that a significant positive relationship exists between the three dimensions of SOCIAL CAPITAL (structural, relational and cognitive) and human resource PRODUCTIVITY.
