Abstract

McKinsey, Deloitte Company and some other valid individuals and companies estimated that the value of Medical tourism in 2012 was more than a hundred billion dollars. This type of tourism has had the fewest disadvantages and greatest benefits for its destination. This type of tourism is a new phenomenon in Iran. This study evaluates potential of provinces of Iran in Medical tourism. In spite of limited resources in this field, according to accessible data (IPD & ACI) and Morris technique, this study was assessed. Ultimately, according to fACIlitators, equipment and technologies beside reputable hospitals and doctors, Results show that Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Gilan, Fars, Azerbaijan Gharbi, Golestan, Khuzestan, Azerbaijan Sharghi as well as Esfahan are the top 10 provinces in Medical tourism. In general, we should sate that the country has not had enough substructure and superstructure for developing this kind of tourism; and if this way continues such as this way, the infrastructure will face to serious treatment.
