The effect of comprehensive social-emotional learning program on the self-awareness of teacher trainees of East Azerbaijan Farhangian University

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of comprehensive social-emotional learning program on self-awareness of teacher-Student of Farhangian University of East Azarbaijan. In this research, semi-experimental method was used. The statistical population of this research includes all male and female teachers in Farhangian University (Allameh Amini and Al-Zahra campuses in East Azarbaijan) with boys in 754 and 686 in girls. According to the research method, 140 Students (two experimental and two control groups) were selected through random cluster sampling. The experimental groups trained a comprehensive social-emotional learning program in 5 sessions (1. 5 hours) and control groups did not receive interventional. A questionnaire was used to collect information from five dimensions of psycho-social competence of Tom. The results were analyzed using one-variable covariance analysis. The results of the research show that there is a significant difference between the studied groups. The experimental groups of girls and boys had a better situation than control group, but there was no significant difference between the experimental group and control groups in boys and girls. The results of this study confirm the effectiveness of the comprehensive learning program on Student self-awareness.
