چکیده

 درمه (Dharma), نظام شریعت هندو مبتنی بر قانون کیهانی و ناموس خلقت است.هر فرد هندو که بخواهد به رستگاری و نجات دست یابد, باید زندگی خود را با نظام درمه تطبیق دهد.متون مربوط به درمه, درمه ساستر (Dharmasastra) نامیده می شود.مهمترین متن درمه ساستر, درمه منو(Manu) است که به نام منوسمرتی (Manusmrti) یا " قوانین منو" خوانده می شود. منابع مهم درمه عبارتند از: 1- متون شروتی(Sruti) یا متون منزل2- متون سمرتی(Smrti) یا متون انسانی (فکری) 3- آچار (Acara) یا عرف4- آتم (Atma) یا وجدانقوانین درمه از نظر مضمون به سه دسته تقسیم می شوند1- ورن آسرم درمه(Varnasramadharma) یا تکالیف فردی2- ساداران درمه(Sadharanadharma) یا تکالیف کلی 3- آپک درمه(Apaddarma) یا تکالیف اضطراری
