Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the different aspects of sexuality, communication and conflict resolution counseling on the marital satisfaction.Materials & Methods: This was an interventional study. A sample of 60 couples that their duration of marriage was 1 to 5 years ago participated during 10 hours through 5 sessions of counseling. Standard Enrich question or was used at 3 phases, pretest before counseling, post test and follow up 4 weeks and 6 months after counseling.Results: The results showed that the difference of mean marital satisfaction in pretest & post test, pretest & follow up, post test & Follow up was significant (p<0.0001) and the mean in follow up was more than post test and post test was more than pretest.Conclusions: According to this MARRIAGE COUNSELING enhances the relationship of marriage that increase marital satisfaction and lead to marital stability.
