Abstract

The panegyric is one of the most important styles of the Shiite poetry in the Abbasid Era since it is the real and complete manifestation of the viewpoints and emotions of its followers. It has served the religious aims of this period and has been one of the historical evidence of the Glorious Qur'an and the Holy Hadith.The Shiite panegyric in the Abbasid Era cannot he investigated without taking into account the political and religious conditions and considerations of this period. Because the wrong and diversionary conceptions of the Abbasids of these religious notions and their political misuses have had a profound effect on the Shiite poetry in terms of form meaning, style, emotion, imagination, and aims.The central point of these poems is our Holy Prophet's (P.) family and defending the rights of Shiism in which affection towards the Holy Prophet's Family has replaced cry and mourning.Since the imagination cannot describe the praised one, the poet's description oscillates between the truth and figment. In this kind of panegyric, the notions of love and hatred are combined and get a new embodiment and the aims of poets are broadly taken into account.This article tries to investigate the concept, subject and aims of the Shiite panegyric in the Abbasid Era with a new approach in the ANALYSIS of literary elements. In doing so, it attempts to give a deep and comprehensive view of the minutes and delicacies of the given literary genre.
