Abstract

Rumi in one of the greatest men of literature and a famous islamic knower in the seventh century. His Mathnavi is a great ocean of high human knowledge. which contains some of the islamic kinds of knowledge. The idea of decree and destiny is an arguable debate of the islamic theology with in many couplets of his six part Mathnavi. The purpose of this essay is the examination of this poets viewpoint about the mentioned theological debate. The essay consist of an introduction about the history of the subject. the defintion of decree and destiny in Mathnavi; and finally Rumis answer to the doubts stemed from belief in decree and destiny will be examined.
