Abstract

One of the most important attitudes in the contemporary theology is the NEGATIVE THEOLOGY. Although this approach has been.accepted and pursued seriously by many modern theologians, many authors in Iran have not a clear understanding of it. In this paper we firstly review, analyze and criticize different views concerning the nature of the NEGATIVE THEOLOGY. Then we will choose a relatively comprehensive definition of the NEGATIVE THEOLOGY based on which we can explain dimensions, problems, subjects and elements of this kind of theology. In this way, we can have a new perspective of this branch of theology.
