Abstract

 Theaching in the sense of the body of teacher activities to faciliate or conduce learning in learners, is the focus of any curriculum, and understanding these activities can, effectively, help in developing TEACHER EDUCATION.curriculum. Regardless of a specific TEACHING situation, subject matter, and grade level, teachers need to be familiar with a body of skills that malre possible the efjictive accomplishment of expected goals. These skills obtained from scientific researches on education and related fields have given TEACHING activity a scientific status. In contrast to this view, another group of experts give higher priority to contingent and emergent aspects of TEACHING and believe that effectiveness of teacher"s activities depend upon their insight and knowledge about unique conditions or context in a particular classroom. This view regards TEACHING as an artistic domain that cannot be decided upon beforehand Research on TEACHING literature shows common features between these seemingly contradictory views, and that TEACHING effectiveness to a great extent depends on optimum integration of artistic and scientific approaches .
