Abstract

Background and aim: The growth of investigations into the relationship of police performance with Security feeling makes the use of a meta-analysis approach doubly necessary. Therefore, the main purpose of the present study is to review and re-analyze the research done in this field and to re-analyze and combine the results of the research to theorize and solve the problem of inSecurity feeling. Research methodology: The present study is a meta-analysis. In terms of thematically, the statistical population of the study consists of all studies and research projects related to the research subject from 2005 to 2015 at the entire country and indexed in one of the country's scientific databases; a total of 313 studies were found. For sampling from this population, 52 research documents which fulfill the inclusion criteria were selected and evaluated using second version of CMA software. Findings: The results of the statistical analysis show that in 52 cases, the relationship between police performance and sense of Security with 99% confidence is significant and the average effect of police performance (Random combination effects) on Security feeling in the sample is equal to 0. 424. Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, police performance in terms of control and supervision, police social capital, efficiency, participation, crime prevention, police social activities, professional behavior, accountability, information, decisiveness, respectful attitude and etc. can be explanatory part of the Security feeling in community.
