Abstract

Background and aim: Most countries have adopted specific policies to combat Economic crimes. legislative criminal policy is part of these policies, and the police, as one of the institutions of criminal justice, have a legal role in the area of Economic crime discovery. In this regards, the present study aimed to identify and exploit the legal capacity of the police to detect Economic crimes and identify legal challenges in combating these crimes. Research Methodology: The research is qualitative and in terms of implementation, it is small. The data are collected and analyzed by a thorough review of the laws, regulations, available documents and a review of the theories of jurists and forensic experts. Findings: The findings of the study indicate that Iran's criminal policy includes laws, regulations, and the use of special officers, especially specialist police, and their silence has caused problems and harm in the process of combating Economic crime. Conclusion: According to available evidences, including the special courts, the process of combating the offenses in question has shifted to a Discrimination based on speed, accuracy and seriousness. In the meantime, legal gaps have made police response to the discovery difficult, and removing the harm identified in this study can improve police performance.
