Abstract

Background and aim: The dangerous behaviors of thugs are one of the most important factors in endangering the health of society. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Lifestyle dimensions in predicting high-risk behaviors of thugs in Tehran. Research methodology: The research method is descriptive-correlation. The study population consists of all thugs available and controlled by Fateb public Security police in 1396. A number of 194 out of 390 people were selected and evaluated based on Cochran formula by quota sampling method. The tool of the study is Health Adolescent Lifestyle Profile Questionnaire and Adolescent Risk Scale which its validity and reliability have been proven in various studies. Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data and correlation and Watson tests were used to investigate its assumptions. Findings: The research hypotheses showed that Lifestyle and the components of responsibility, stress management, spiritual growth and physical activity have a significant and inverse effect on the risky behavior of thugs, whereas the components of interpersonal relationships and nutrition have no significant effect on the risky behavior of the thugs. Conclusion: The results show that the Lifestyle can predict the risky behavior of the thugs and the higher the score of the subjects in the Lifestyle profile, the less the risky behavior.
