Abstract

Nowadays however tourism has many economic advantages it has caused various environmental problems. In this research we studied and prioritized the various options for sustainable ecotourism in Geno protected area using Topsis method. Geno protected area is one of the most important protected areas in Hormozgan province. It has a high ecological value and many tourists visit it every day. For conducting the study in the first step, the criteria and sub criteria for sustainable tourism were selected. Then all criteria were scored by 15 experts and weighed using AHP method. Then final prioritizing was done using Topsis method. The results of ranking the criteria using AHP method showed that the ‘ cost’ criterion (٠ ٫ ٢ ٩ ٧ )is in first rank and the other criteria are: ‘ effect continuity, (٠ ٫ ٢ ٧ ٣ ) ’ effect expansion (0. 187), effect intensity (0. 142) and effect certainty (0. 101). Based on the Topsis method, prioritizing of options are: increasing the conservative officers, (٠ ٫ 5٨ ٢ ) zoning (0. 569), time limitation for ecotourists (0. 538, (fee determination for visiting (0. 494, (continuous monitoring of visitors ’ effects (0. 44, (native people participation in protection (0. 42, ( continuous training for the staff and visitors (0. 408), limitation in the number of visitors (0. 393) and motivating policies for visiting (0. 384.
