Abstract

HELICOBACTER PYLORI is one of the most important predisposing factor in gastric ulcer & neoplasms such as lymphoma and carcinoma.Now the age of malignancy and peptic ulcer is decreased, and it seems that colonization of H. pylori in gastric mucosa in childhood maybe an important pathogenic factor.So we studied about relative frequency of SERUM HELICOBACTER PYLORI antibody in 574 cases of preschool age child in Isfahan.According to this study frequency of H. pylori antibody in preschool age child was 48%. There was no meaningful difference between male and female, but frequency of H. pylori antibody was obviously higher in crowded region.So H. pylori infection is important and serious in children especially in crowded area.
