Abstract

The present research was conducted with the purpose of investigating the effectiveness of logotherapy on the happiness and psychological well-being of the mothers having cancer-affected children and it used a quasi-experimental method and pretest-posttest design with a control group and follow-up. 30 parents referring to the Saba institution in the city of Bukan in 2017 were selected by the simple random sampling and they were placed into the test and control groups. The data were collected by the Oxford happiness questionnaire and the questionnaire of psychological well-being. The data were analyzed by the covariance analysis and SPSS 20 software. The results demonstrated that the logotherapy has an effect on the happiness and psychological well-being of the mothers having cancer-affected children (P 0. 0001). Based on the research findings, the logotherapy could be used for improving the quality of the mothers' and cancer-affected children's life.
