Abstract

This article examines PUBLIC PARTICIPATION and its results in PUBLIC POLICY MAKING. Along with PUBLIC PARTICIPATION and PUBLIC POLICY MAKING definitions, different kinds of PUBLIC PARTICIPATION and its objectives, the benefits and weaknesses are mentioned.The results show that although citizens’ participation in policymakings is essential, the content and methods depend on the cultural, political and social characteristics of a society.
