Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate socio-cultural factors influence on high school students of Abadeh. After reviewing local and international literature, while considering theories about LEISURE TIME, a synthesized theoretical framework with regard to Bourdieau theory was formulated. Based on that, an empirical model with effect of 9 independent variables on dependent variable (high school LEISURE TIME) was formed.The research methodology was a survey. The population under consideration was 500 male and female high school students all residents of Abadeh selected systematically at random. In this study nine hypotheses have been tested. The results showed that ICT's, attachment to friends, religiousity, and attachment to school on the whole could explain about 36.1 percent of students' LEISURE TIME.
