Abstract

 Background and Aim: The Participation of slum dwellers with the police is considered an important factor in preventing the occurrence of crimes on the outskirts of cities and can be effective in providing security. Based on this, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the methods of attracting the Participation of marginalized people in the disciplinary management of crime prevention in Kermanshah. Method: This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of the nature of the data and was conducted in two ways: descriptive-survey and exploratory. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 experts who were selected judiciously and purposefully to determine the methods of marginalized Participation. The data obtained from the interview were analyzed using summary content analysis and a list of propositions was used as the basis for designing a quantitative questionnaire. In order to check the validity of qualitative statements, a questionnaire was developed and presented to the participants of the qualitative stage. The use of t-test was analyzed. Findings: Findings from interviews with police experts showed that effective ways to attract the Participation of slum dwellers in law enforcement management are: educating and familiarizing people with police duties, police interaction with NGOs, handing over neighborhood security to neighborhood residents, police presence in between The people and the protection of the people, the strict observance of the laws by the police and the appreciation of the normal citizens. Results: The results showed that the use of new methods of attracting the Participation of marginalized people in the disciplinary management of crime prevention in Kermanshah, has an effect and the Participation of marginalized people helps the police to prevent crime using the views and methods provided by them. And take appropriate action to reduce crime.
