Abstract

In this study, two of the most popular power generation cycles are analyzed using EES (Engineering Equation Solver). cycles are evaluated by their efficiencies based on receiving different gas temperatures extracted from a Gorgo-flame cement Rotary Kiln. Results show that employing CHP technology in cement production plants will efficiently optimizes energy consumptions beside its effectiveness in decreasing environmental pollutions. Based on the obtained results, the steam cycle was more efficient and saves more amounts of energy. In study the efficiency of the cycles, the difference is observed between 5-20% at the same temperature.
