Abstract

The purpose of this study was to predict marital distress based on emotional intelligence, communication skills and marital conflicts and correlation method. Statistical population: The population of the study population consisted of all married students of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 3029 people. Samples based on the Fidel and Tabachnig formula (2007) were 107 people who were elevated to 111 cases with precautionary measures and were selected by stratified random sampling method. The research tool was four standard Penis marital maladaptation (1996), Cooper's emotional intelligence (1996), Queen's Animal communication skills (2004), and Jones Marital Conflict (1997). Data analysis was performed using regression and Pearson correlation. The results showed that beta values for emotional intelligence were significant. The beta value in the communicative skills variable is not meaningful. There is an inverse relationship between emotional intelligence and marital disturbance. There is no meaningful relationship between marital distress and communication skills. Relationship between marital distress and marital conflicts is a direct and meaningful relationship. There is a direct and meaningful relation between the variables of emotional intelligence and communication skills. The meaningful test of correlation between emotional intelligence and marital conflicts is not meaningful. There is no meaningful relationship between the variables of communication skills and marital conflicts.
