Abstract

The present study was conducted to provide a model of the role of Moral tension in the professional Athletes' Burnout. The statistical population of the present study included a total of 185 professional Athletes in Golestan province (Iran) who were members of national teams in different categories. The present research was carried out based on the research model of Al-Shebil and Zahlahah-Saleh (2018). The results of this study showed that, Moral tension has a significant positive effect on the athlete's Burnout. Given this, it can be stated that, the Moral tension caused by professional problems in the professional Sports environment causes professional Athletes to be Burnout, highlighting the importance of considering the Moral tension as an important issue in the clubs and sports teams. Since, lack of management of Moral tension would cause more Burnout among the Athletes.
