Abstract

The aim of this Meta Method study is to investigate the field of strategy in Tehran's first level universities. This research is an applied one in terms of purpose and is a tool for data collection, library study and review of documents. The research population has all the master's theses and doctoral dissertations in the field of strategy in the four universities of Tarbiat Modares, Tehran, Shahid Beheshti and Allameh Tabatabai in the years 1991 to 2016. The total data collection method and the population size are 188 reports. 11 indicators of analysis: thematic contribution, students' degree, number of participants, participation of scientific institutions, participation of scientific-specialized groups, gender of the researcher, methods and techniques used, validation of research method, statistical and analysis methods, resources and appearance of the report were reviewed. According to the results, it is necessary to strengthen the teaching methods of research methods as well as strategic management for graduate students. Case and comparative methods, qualitative and mixed research methods, use of combined tools, level of individual and national analysis and non-probabilistic sampling and accuracy in narrative to consider more.
