Abstract

The new armored scale speciesAcanthomytilus cupressicola Moghaddam sp. n. is described and illustrated from specimens collected on Cypress trees in IRAN. Although most species of Acanthomytilusare known to occur on Poaceae, this is the second species of the genus, except A. kurdicus Bodenheimer, that is here recorded from woody plants.
