Abstract

The main objective of this study is to evaluate safety and effectiveness of regime of CLOMIPHENE citrate (c.c) and PREDNISOLONE for patients who failed treatment with CLOMIPHENE alone. We considered 30 anovulatory patients who failed to ovulate after administering CLOMIPHENE alone. Ovulation was confirmed by Basal body temperature and mildluteal phase progestrone. Pregnancy was confirmed by rising levels of B-HCG and serial abdominal sonography. Thirty seven of cycles were ovulatouy (62%). Basal body temperature in ovulatary cycles were 36.5-37-1°C. With Basal body tempreture and serial ultra-sonography ovulation was confirmed (70%). Seven patents (23.3%) were pregnant who were infertile for 6-10 years.comment: CLOMIPHENE citrate resistant anovulatory patients have high rate of ovulation and pregnaney after treatment with CLOMIPHENE and PREDNISOLONE. PREDNISOLONE is a good choice compared Dexamethasone because of minor glucocorticoidy effects.
