Abstract

HAMARTOMAs are nontumoral lesions composed of disordered proliferation of normal and abnormal tissue components.Lung HAMARTOMAs are composed of irregular native tissues such as cartilage, fat, smoth muscle and tubules lined by bronchial or bronchiolar Epithelium.These are rare lesions often presenting as a small solitary mass in lung paranchyma of adults discovered radiologically as a coin lesion.They are acquired proliferations although some chromosomal aberrations are observed. This is a report of a lung HAMARTOMA and review of the recent related literature.
