Abstract

An three level PRODUCTION PLANNING and control method is developed and examined. In the first level with the use of a mathematical model, optimum planning period is determined and passed to te next level. The two last levels which perform production cpntrol function are ha sed on three principals: separation between due dates, operational considerations andfull utilization of the cell felcxibility. A simulation medel based on the proposed method has been huilt. Classic loading rules have been redefined with respect to the concept of balanced workload. The resultsfor these reules have shown similar behdvior as compared to the results for classic rules.
