Abstract

The patient was an Iranian 40 years old woman who complained of loss of vision in both eyes from two weeks before. She had signs of anterior segment inflammation along with small white lesions at choroidal level, disc swelling, periphlebitis, intraretinal and preretinal hemorrhage and Roth spots. Serum angiotensin converting enzyme titer was high. Tuberculosis evaluation test (PPD) was negative. Lung tissue and conjunctival biopsy were positive for NONCASEATING GRANULOMA. According to her findings, ocular SARCOIDOSIS was labeled and treatment with topical corticosteroid and cycloplegics and systemic prednisolone was initiated. All the uveitis, choroiditis and vasculitis signs were regressed after one month and her visual acuity was improved from 20/800 to 20/200 and from 20/200 to 20/30 in right eye and left eye, respectively.
