Abstract

 The present work examines the mechanism of NECK FORMATION AND GROWTH. The aim is to establish a better understanding of the thermo-mechanism of NECK FORMATION AND GROWTH in the electrical discharge compaction process for powdered metals. The results of SEM for neck formation high-speed photography as well as micro hardness measurements and an experimental survey of distribution of necks and density distribution across sections of different GREEN PRODUCTS are presented.
