Abstract

 As a matter of fact, the discourse about the pioneers of at-taqrib (rapprochement), and islah (reformation) in the latest centuries is both old and new, particularly when the pioneer is Sayyid Jamalud-Din whose reputation and outcry have widely spread and reached all the spots and corners of the Islamic world. He is, surely a great reformer, advocator of at-taqrib (rapprochement), and pioneer of unity in the Islamic Ummah. Many writers have written about him. Each of them has written according to his viewpoint and perspective, so as to take us to a fruitful objective, and open for us a brilliant horizon, and a new window which reveals for us his broad outlook, multifarious personality and his depth in dealing with the variety of affairs and events of our Islamic world.
