Abstract

In this article an improved procedure to identify people based on their IRIS features is proposed. These features are obtained from zero crossing of WAVELET TRANSFORM. The procedure has two step In the first of which. the gray level information .i in the second step, different are extracted as one dimensional. signals and representation of their zero crossing are produced. I in the second step. different IRISes are compared. To have computational efficiency and to be immune of noise. several level of WAVELET TRANSFORM in the mid band have been used. To make IRIS images independent of the location camera, they have been mapped to the double and dimensionless polar coordinate system. The proposed procedure has been applied on our image bank which contains both original and noisy images. The results show tlIat our proposed procedure is able to identify people in our data bank without any error
