Abstract

INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT and technological progress have created a foundation for change in Asalouyeh; Le. A rural community is being turned into an industrial and urban society. Such a process of change has caused a paradoxical situation. On the one hand, Asalouyeh has great potentialities; on the other hand, its traditional pattern of life and communication has been greatly disrupted by the process of industrialization, causing many SOCIAL PROBLEMS. The present paper is a qualitative research which attempts to offer a theoretical framework for explaining SOCIAL PROBLEMS and deviance in Asalouyeh.
