Abstract

This paper is derived from a PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS of concept of DEMOCRACY. The purposes of the paper are to explain the concept, dimensions, and scope of DEMOCRACY. Accordingly, some viewpoints of DEMOCRACY have been discussed in the study. Moreover, dimensions, assumptions and conditions of DEMOCRACY have been examined. DEDUCTIVE REASONING, as a research method, has been used for these purposes. The issues prompt the researcher to interpret that DECREASING PARTICIPATION of people in the governmental affairs does not mean that they do not believe in DEMOCRACY, but that they believe that the QUALITY OF THE POLITICIAN is controversial.
