Abstract

In this paper, a 2-D analytical electromagnetic method and a 2-D FINITE ELEMENT method along with experimental results for performance analysis of a DISK INDUCTION MOTOR are presented. The torque-speed curve that has been obtained from the proposed theoretical studies is compared with the experimental one. It is observed that the theoretical results in comparison with the practical: ones have sufficient accuracy and they can be used in a first step design for DISK INDUCTION MOTORs.
