THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STAFFS' QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND MANATERS' PRODUCTIVITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION CENTERS

Abstract

 The major purpose of the present research is to study the relationship between QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and PRODUCTIVITY among Islamic Azad University (IAU) managers and to design a mathematical pattern to embody their PRODUCTIVITY based on the QUALITY OF WORK LIFE. The research samples consist of IAU managers in all branches. Applying random sampling method, 474 managers as well as 3 employees working for each of them, a total of 1422 persons, were selected. The tools of the research were two self-designed questionnaires related to QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and PRODUCTIVITY. All the employees completed the questionnaires. The result of multi-variable regression indicated that there is a relationship between QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and managers' PRODUCTIVITY (b=0.68, P £00.05).The mathematical pattern of the managers' PRODUCTIVITY in IAU branches based on total QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and their components are as follows: PRODUCTIVITY = 0.68 X (quality of work life) + 58.735 PRODUCTIVITY = 53.413 + 0.10 x (job value) + 0.188 x (efficient management) + 0.20 x (feedback) + 0.24 x (fair assignment of the posts).
