Abstract

The present study was aimed to compare self- concept with VOCATIONAL ASPIRATIONS and PERSONALITY TYPE in Pre-university students in Shahre-Kord. Two hundred students who were studying in natural sciences, mathematics and humanities were selected by random sampling. The research instruments are Rajers's SELF – CONCEPT test and Holland Vocational – Educational Interest Inventory. The data was analyzed by multivariable variance, The first hypothesis was: There is the congruence between PERSONALITY TYPE, and VOCATIONAL ASPIRATIONS of pre – college students in the past and present. The results of X was significant (P<0.05) except for conventional type, realistic type and enterprising type. Also the results of X showed meaningful difference in congruence for the second VOCATIONAL ASPIRATIONS. Other findings showed meaningful difference between SELF – CONCEPT in two sexes. Girls personality is different from the boys PERSONALITY TYPE. The boys were more the investigate type; and the girls of the social type.
