Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral based sexual skills education on marital adjustment in infertile women. Method: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design with control group. infertile women aged 22 to 36 years old referred to motazedi infertility center in 1394 in kermanshah, who had Sexual dysfunction and marital problems. There were 33 participants in the study, 20 of them were volunteers. They were randomly divided into two groups (10 people) and control (10 people). Individuals who participated in the experimental group participated in group sex education for 10 sessions per week. The control group did not receive any intervention during this period. In order to record changes in spanier marital adjustment questionnaire (1976) before and after the intervention, participants completed the statistical analysis of multivariate covariance analysis. Results: Sexual Skills Education intervention had a significant effect on marital adjustment, so marital adjustment score of infertile women in posttest was significantly increased (P <0. 001). Conclusion: Cognitive-Behavioral Based Sexual Skills Education is effective on marital adjustment of infertile women.
