Abstract

The goal of the present research is to investingate the effect of the Emotionally Focused COUPLE THERAPY on Marital Ajustment.The Quasi-experimental design with pretest, posttest and control group was used.The sample included 20 couples in Shiraz who were selected from four counseling centes. Couples werer randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. Dyadic Adjustment Scale was used in pre-test and post-test.Experimental group received 8 sessins of emotionally focused therapy, while control group received no treatment.t-test results of pretest and posttest revealed that there is a significant difference (p<0.01) between the two groups. EFT was also more effective for wifes rather than for their husbands.EFT omproved MARITAL ADJUSTMENT of experimental group compared with the control group.
