Abstract

 The synthesis of MESOPOROUS silica is considered as one of the four most important discoveries in solid-state and materials science in the last decade. They consist of regular pores with diameter between 2-50 nm. Incorporation of different groups in their walls enables them for cracking of large molecule; even they can act as redox catalysts. The extension of the application fields from catalysis and sorption into new areas, such as optic and electronics is very important.The first report of this new class of materials presented by Kresge et al in 1992.These new products, known under the group name M4IS, with the hexagonal MCM- 41. Here we use hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride as templating agent for synthesis nanostructured titanium silicate. Synthesized materials were characterized by low angle XRD.
