Abstract

The study location was at 65 Kilometer to the northeast of Isfahan and its whole area was estimated to about 85 square kilometers. the region structure included sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks from mesozoic up to the recent ages. Baslatic to rhyolitic volcanic rocks have heen erupted in Eocene, In OligoMiocene an intrusive body (Garnitoide) was injected to the sedimentary and volcanic rocks, and the metamorphic rocks (skarns and metevolconits) were formed. The study ofmetavolcanic to unmetamorphosed volcanic rocks indicated which minor elements were exchanged between the intrusive body and the volcanic rocks. The presence of some minerals such as andalusite pointed toward a temperature of over 420C (hornblende Hornfelse facies) in the mentioned vicinity.
