Abstract

The water distilled essential oil of ARTEMIsia Persia Boiss. Grown wild in Iran was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Among the 28 identified components constituting 94.8% of the oil, CIS-OCIMENONE (39.6%) and trans-ascaridol (16.1%) were found to be the major constituents.
