Abstract

Growth, age, biomass and production of CAPOETA CAPOETA GRACILIS (Cyprindac) from Madarsoo spring of GOLESTAN NATIONAL PARK were determined, using over 1000 samples collected from Nov. 1997 to Aug.1998. Fish aged 0-10 years were present in the samples. Growth in length was expressed for both sexes with the Von bertalanffy equations. Growth parameters were estimated as L∞=229.67 mm, K=0.54 for males, L∞=327.95 mm, K=0.18 for females. The length-weight relationships were described for males (a=-77.83, b=0.99) and for females (a=-157.13, b=1.57).
