Abstract

HLA Molecules are the principal agents for recognition of foreign ANTIGENS. Also the correlation of these molecules is established with different diseases. The present research, is a descriptive study and was done in order to determine the frequency of CLASS I AND II HLA molecules in normal population of KHORAMABAD in 2001 by using standard. method of lymphocytotoxicity.Determination of frequency of class I HLA molecules in 50 normal individuals was shown in locus A, the most frequency belonged to Al and All ANTIGENS that with comparison between Iranian normal population and KHORAMABAD normal population showed that frequency of these ANTIGENS are higher in KHORAMABAD normal population and this difference was statistically significant. In locus B the most frequency of class I HLA belonged to B5 and B7 which in comparison with Iran normal population was higher. The most and the lowest frequency in locus C belonged to CW4 and CW1, CW2 sequentially.Distribution of CW4 and CW5 ANTIGENS were higher in normal population of KHORAMABAD, in comparison with Iran normal population.Also, the results from determination of frequency of class II HLA ANTIGENS in 43 normal individuals showed that DR53 and DR7 in locus DR have higher frequency, but in Iran normal population, DR53 has higher frequency.Distribution of DQ1, DQ2 and DQ3 ANTIGENS in locus DQ nearly was same, distribution of HLA-DQ2 Antigen was higher in KHORAMABAD normal population in comparison with normal population of Iran.
