Abstract

Sea transportation is more important for cost savings, and it is the basis of the world's transportation. This paper examines the effects of changes in Oil prices and volume of containerized goods on the cost of shipping in the three main routes of East-West Container using the Generalized Torque (GMM) method during 1995-1995. The results indicate that Brent crude Oil prices, oil price changes, rental rates, and the Baltic index have a significant positive impact on shipping costs. But the volume of containerized goods has had a significant and significant impact on the cost of shipping. Oil prices also have a much higher impact on maritime shipping in container trade. Today, there is widespread question about the increasing and uncertainties of the rates in world trade and transportation costs, which are of particular importance, especially in developing countries, the costs of international transport, are relatively high and it creates the possibility that the surplus of demand in sometimes it is impossible to provide. In other words, high shipping costs are an obstacle to providing customers with a surplus in global trade for developed economies.
