Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the relationship of the FIVE FACTOR MODEL OF PERSONALITY with HAPPINESS in undergraduate students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. Using stratified random sampling method, 569 undergraduate students (356 female and 213 male students) participated in the research. The scales used consisted of the Neo Five- Factor Inventory (Neo-FFI) and Oxford HAPPINESS Inventory (OHI). Analysis of the data yielded statistically significant simple correlation coefficients between the predictive variables (NEOFFI) and the criterion variable (OHI). The results of a number of regression analyses showed that linear combination of the predictive variables increased the size of correlation with the criterion variable.
